Golden Ratio: Paisley
So here we are at the next-to-last post in my Golden Ratio series: Paisley. The companion entry to last week’s Argyle set is here, bringing you my interpretation of Paisley. I mentioned in last week’s post that I have an extensive assortment of argyle socks. Well…I also have a nice collection of paisley ties. It’s pretty much all that I buy. Seriously. It’s not an obsession O_O
A short backstory:
I toyed around the idea of starting a blog about 2 years ago. I had actually started a blog featuring some of my Design pieces from back then as well as poetry I had been writing. Some of those poems made it over to this blog, actually, if you go back in the archives (as well as some I’ve written since).
Well…after I let that blog go dead, I wanted to start a new one…I wanted to start a men’s fashion blog. Thus the name and idea “ArgylePaisley”. It represents my own personal style. As I began planning and launching and re-launching and struggling with this blog, I realized that I’m not equipped to blog explicitly about fashion. Instead, I found myself incorporating my personal sense of style into my artwork. That’s what ArgylePaisley means to me. It’s an idea. It’s ME.
And because it’s me…I have plans for this site, and plans for the name.
…but…ArgylePaisley the BLOG is closing next week with my last entry in the Golden Ratio series.
…and I will be launching (reallyshortdrumroll):
My Graphic Design portfolio and new Lifestyle Blog will launch on March 21, with my last Golden Ratio piece (a very short, but…interesting…entry).
Big things are in the works for me as a Designer and as a Blogger and I’ll be taking you on my journey via my new site.
There will be new art, new ideas, some giveaways, my foray into the game of videography and there, my career will grow.
ArgylePaisley still has a place in my heart and I will be expanding on the idea in the near future, but we’re taking it over to the new home in ONE WEEK!

Golden Ratio: Yin and Yang
I’m still having fun with this.
What better way to illustrate the Golden Ratio – nature’s mean – than to incorporate Yin and Yang. A symbol in Chinese philosophy to denote balance, harmony between opposite/complementary forces, Yin-Yang is the perfect mate to the Golden Ratio…if I do say so myself. (more…)
